Sleeping Beauty Pantomime -- BroxbourneBroxbourne Theatre Company

presents two shows each year at Broxbourne Civic Theatre in Hoddesdon. Usually these are a pantomime soon after Christmas and a musical in May.

Our 2016/17 season began with the pantomime Dick Whittington in January and the musical Anything Goes in May.

Our 2017/18 season will include the pantomime Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood in January and 9 to 5 the Musical in May

All shows are presented to the best possible standard, using top quality scenery and costumes, as the photo album proves.

Shows have been presented in Broxbourne for more than 35 years, but the history goes back to 1943 when revues, pantomimes and musicals were presented in Enfield under the former name of ETCEA.

Broxbourne Theatre Company is affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic Association and in addition to the Best Musical and Best Production for 2013 has also won NODA's Best Local Pantomime award six times since the award was introduced in 2007. In the most recent round of awards, Aladdin received the 2016 Best Pantomime award.

New members are always welcome (onstage or backstage).

As one of the Lea Valley's leading amateur theatre companies, we constantly need new members aged 16 or over to maintain our standards for the future. We start work on Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood in September 2017 and will be particularly looking for new men -- though new ladies are welcome too. As a member you would be able to audition for both principals and chorus parts. We'll again be welcoming new members in January for 9 to 5 the Musical.

We always need people to help backstage or in the foyer and auditorium during our performances in January and May each year. We also need help throughout the year to publicise the shows, so one way or another there should be a place for you. Join us now and be part of the team, or just come along to a performance and see us from the auditorium!

We also have a Young Set which meets on Wednesday evenings and has separate activities for those aged 9 to 15.
