The
Spotlight Theatre
has a comfortable auditorium seating nearly 500.

Formerly Broxbourne Civic Hall, you'll find it beside the car park
near the junction of Hoddesdon High Street and Cock Lane.

Travel

The Spotlight Theatre is right on the doorstep from Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, Goffs Oak, Cuffley and Wormley, close to Enfield, North London, Harlow and Hertford and within reasonable travelling distance of other Hertfordshire towns such as Stevenage, Ware, Welwyn Garden City, St Albans and Bishops Stortford.

Please note that it is not possible to reach either the Theatre or Bollescroft via The Knowle though some journey planners may try to route you that way.

Travelling North from Broxbourne traffic lights, look for the Police Station on the left and the theatre's approach road (a very short length of dual carriageway) which is next after the police station and arts centre/museum.

Travelling South from Hoddesdon Town Centre, turn right at the Cock Lane roundabout and left before the car park.

The Spotlight Theatre has a car park but it has limited capacity and therefore early arrival is suggested.

For satellite navigation, the postcode is EN11 8BE but that may take you to either Woodlands Close or The Knowle. You do NOT want either. Instead, look for the car park which is in Cock Lane near the junction with Hoddesdon High Street.

For a more precise location, set latitude 51.755881° longitude -0.014122°. That should take you to within a few feet of the car park entrance.

The Theatre building is often well hidden by trees. Once you reach the car park, look for the steps down. They are in the corner beside the disabled parking spaces.

By Bus

Arriva bus services 310 and 310A pass the entrance. Alight at Hoddesdon Police Station. You can use this journey planner (filling in destination as EN11 8BE) to find complete routes by bus or train from any address in the area. As above, do not follow any route that suggests you should walk via The Knowle.

Alternatively you can see the Arriva 310 and 310A timetables. These will probably still show the venue as Broxbourne Civic Hall which is between "Hoddesdon, Amwell St, Clock Tower" and "Broxbourne, High Road, Post Office" on the bus timetable.

Please note there is no 310 bus service towards Waltham Cross after 9pm -- therefore if you need to go in that direction you should either select an afternoon performance, or use another route to return home after evening performances.

By Train

Nearest stations are Broxbourne (0.8 miles), Rye House (1.7 miles) and St Margarets (2.7 miles). The stations have only a limited service in the evenings. For many performances you may need to arrive and depart by different stations. There are buses which link to the theatre. Again we suggest using this journey planner to separately check the best route for both arrival and departure.

Seating

Terrace seats are fully tiered -- see the seating plan here.

There is a large licensed bar which opens one hour before evening performances.  To avoid the interval rush, we recommend that you order interval drinks from the bar before the show starts.
